Rules & Regulations
Everything that governs the league, in plain language — with every figure read live from the league's current settings.
Warning
Baba Academy's Dictator Ifti sets the rules and regulations, you cannot argue. Dictator's decision is the final decision, even if it goes against the rules.
All amounts are shown in the league's currency, Baba Coins, and are read live from the current settings — the per-season figures below are the ones in force for Season 27. This page is a plain-language explanation; where a rule is enforced by the system, the system is the authority.
01Prize money
Prize money is paid once, at the end of the season, when an admin runs the season payout. Nothing is paid out match by match — your balance moves when the season is settled. Every club is paid for where it finished, for any cup it reached, and for each match it won.

Reaching a final is what pays — clubs knocked out earlier get nothing extra from that cup, though their wins still earn the win bonus below.
Win bonus
50M for every league match won, and for every cup tie won. Draws and defeats pay nothing.
02Player market value
Every player is re-valued once, at the end of the season. The new value is built from two things — where the player finished on the Ballon d'Or leaderboard, and their raw average rating — then adjusted for the two season awards:
New value = position value + rating value + d'Or bonus − Dick'Or penalty

Rating value — your raw average

Adjustments
- Ballon d'Or bonus
- 50M added on top for the season's Ballon d'Or winner.
- Ballon Dick'Or penalty 💩
- 50M subtracted from the season's Dick'Or winner.
- Played no matches
- A flat 50M. If you didn't play, nothing above applies — no position value, no rating value.
Worked example
A player who finishes 3rd on the leaderboard with a raw average of 800 is valued at 110M + 110M = 220M. Had they also won the Ballon d'Or, add 50M for 270M.
03Ballon d'Or & Ballon Dick'Or 💩
Both season awards are decided by one number — your Score. It is not a plain average: it is a shrinkage-weighted average, which pulls players with few matches toward the league average until they have played enough for their own form to speak for itself.
Score = (S + C × M) ÷ (N + C)
- S
- The sum of all your match ratings this season.
- N
- How many rated matches you have played.
- M
- The league average rating — every approved rating this season, pooled across all competitions. Right now M = 945, from 66 recorded ratings.
- C
- The shrinkage constant — currently 10. Read it as "10 phantom matches played exactly at the league average", added to everyone before ranking.
Why not a simple average?
Because a single lucky match would win it. With a plain average, a player who plays once and scores well finishes above someone who played a full season at a high level — and one bad game would hand out the Dick'Or just as unfairly. Adding C phantom matches at the league average means a small sample barely moves your Score, while a large one moves it a lot. Play more, and your own results increasingly outweigh the phantom ones.
Worked example — with this season's live numbers
Take a player with 2 matches, each rated 1,145 — that's 200 above the current league average of 945. Their plain average is 1,145, but their Score is (2,290 + 10 × 945) ÷ (2 + 10) = 978 — barely above average, because 10 phantom matches at 945 outweigh their 2. A player with 20 matches at that same level scores 1,078, much closer to their true form. Same ratings, very different Score — that's the sample size doing its job.
Qualifying and winning
- Ballon d'Or
- The HIGHEST Score wins. You need at least 9 rated matches to qualify.
- Ballon Dick'Or 💩
- The LOWEST Score wins. You need at least 4 rated matches to qualify.
The two thresholds are set independently on purpose. The leaderboards are live all season and change as results are approved; the winner is only fixed when an admin confirms it at season end.
04Loans
Cash loans — club to club
You ask another club for coins. Three things must happen before any money moves: you request it, the lending club accepts, and an admin approves. The lender can decline with a reason, and you can cancel while it is still pending.
- Maximum per loan
- 1B
- Repayment term
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 seasons — the durations in the fee table below, chosen when you request. The clock starts when the loan is APPROVED: repayment is due by the end of that many seasons.
- How often you can ask
- 3 requests per lending club per 24 hours. Every request counts — accepted, declined, cancelled or pending — so cancelling and re-asking does not reset it. The cap is per PAIR of clubs: being capped with one lender says nothing about the others.
What a cash loan costs — by duration
Borrowing is not free. Every cash loan carries a fee set by how long you take to repay it — longer terms cost more. The amounts are set per duration rather than by a formula, so read them off the table, not off a rate. The fee is added to what you repay; it is never taken out of the money you are handed.
- 1 season
- 20M
- 2 seasons
- 40M
- 3 seasons
- 100M
- 4 seasons
- 150M
- 5 seasons
- 200M
- 6 seasons
- 250M
You receive every coin you asked for — the fee is on the way back
Nothing is deducted at disbursement. Borrow 500M over a term priced at 20M and the whole 500M lands in your balance — but you repay 520M by the due season: the 500M principal plus the 20M fee. The fee is part of the debt, not a cut of the loan. It is paid to the lending club when you repay — the fee for money of theirs that was tied up for the whole term, and the reason a club has to lend at all. No spending floor blocks it: it is an agreed cost of a loan all three parties signed off, in the same class as a fine or a repayment.
The lending club parts with the principal and nothing else, so what they see before accepting is exactly what they lend and exactly what comes back. Repayments clear the principal first and the fee last.
The fee — and who receives it — is fixed when you REQUEST the loan. If an admin re-prices a duration or changes where fees go afterwards, your agreed terms do not move, and both the lending club and the admin see the same figures before they decide.
Default is collected automatically
When the due season completes, any unpaid remainder is taken from your balance automatically — even if that takes you deep into the red. There is no grace period and no negotiation. That remainder includes the fee: defaulting is never the cheap way out of it. Only what is still outstanding is taken, and the lender is credited the same amount.
Player loans — borrowing a player for one match
You can field a player from another club for a single match. You declare it on your match submission, and the fee is charged when an admin approves the stats — never before.
The fee scales with the player — and with your result
There is no flat loan fee. You pay a percentage of the player's market value, kept inside a floor and a cap — then win the match and you pay that in full; draw or lose and you pay 50% of it. The player's club is credited exactly what you are charged, whichever it is.
- The formula
- 10% of the player's market value, then never less than 5M and never more than 30M. A 100M player costs 10M; anyone valued high enough is capped at 30M.
- If you WIN
- You pay that fee in full, to the player's club.
- If you DRAW or LOSE
- You pay 50% of it — a draw and a defeat cost the same. That share is taken AFTER the floor and cap are applied, so a cheap player really does cost less than 5M rather than being pushed back up to the floor.
- Which market value
- The player's value AT THE MOMENT THE ADMIN APPROVES the stats — not when you submitted. If their value moves in between, the fee moves with it.
- Decided on penalties?
- The fee follows the MATCH result, not who went through. A tie level after 90 minutes is a draw, so you pay half even if you win the shootout.
- When it is charged
- At stats approval, and only once the score has been approved — the amount cannot be worked out before the result is final.
- Cap per player, per season
- 7 loans of the same player by the same club in a SEASON. League and cup matches count towards the SAME total — there is no separate cup allowance, and nothing resets between competitions. The count runs out for that player until the next season starts.
- Cap per club
- 20 player loans per club in any rolling 24-hour period, whoever the players are. This is separate from the per-season cap above: both must be satisfied.
- Free agents
- A free agent has no club to be paid, so the fee LEAVES THE ECONOMY — you pay it and nobody receives it. Borrowing a free agent costs the league money supply, not another club. The fee is worked out from THEIR market value the same way, and reduced the same way if you don't win.
05Spending floors & bankruptcy
There are three separate floors, and they do different jobs. Two limit what you may voluntarily commit; the third decides whether you survive the season.
Bankruptcy floor
-1B
Checked at season end
After the prize payout is applied, any club still below this is declared bankrupt. During the season your balance may go anywhere below it — this floor blocks nothing while you play.
Lend-out floor
-300M
Lending cash to another club
You can lend only while handing the coins over leaves you at or above this. It does NOT block fines, fees or repayments.
Bid floor
-300M
Bids + cash lent out, combined
Your balance minus your outstanding bids minus the cash you have lent out must stay at or above this. Combined, so you can't get around it by splitting spending between lending and bidding.
What the floors never block
Fines, player-loan fees, loan repayments, defaults, the entry fee, a name change and admin deductions are costs you owe — none of them are stopped by a floor, and any of them can push you below one. Only the two voluntary commitments above are gated.
Bankruptcy
Bankruptcy is decided once per season, after the payout — so a season's prize money is your chance to climb back. If it lifts you back to the floor you are safe; if you are still below it, the club is declared bankrupt.
- What happens
- Every player is released to free agency — including the club leader, whose protection does not survive bankruptcy — and the club's leadership is cleared.
- While bankrupt
- The club cannot enter a season.
- Recovering
- Recovery is automatic and re-checked whenever your balance or squad changes. You need a balance at or above -1B, at least 2 players, and enough left over to afford the entry fee plus your squad value within the floor. Taking a cash loan is a legitimate route back.
06Season participation
Entering a season costs money and is approved by an admin. You request to join; the admin approves, and the cost is deducted atomically at that moment — with affordability re-checked right then, not when you asked.
- Entry fee
- 100M
- Squad registration
- Your FULL squad value is deducted on top of the entry fee — the total market value of every player you hold.
- Minimum squad
- 2 players. Below that you cannot enter.
- The affordability check
- balance − entry fee − squad value must stay at or above -1B. If you fall short, the shortfall is shown to you — a cash loan can cover it.
Only one season runs at a time. A new season can only start once the previous one is completed and resolved (its Super Cup settled). Seasons from 20 onward run on the match engine; earlier seasons are imported history maintained by an admin.
07Transfers
Free agents — blind auction
Bidding on a free agent is blind. You can see who is bidding and your own rank among them, but never anyone else's amount — and they never see yours. Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn once placed.
- Bids per player
- 2 per club. Your first bid must be at least the player's market value; any later bid must beat your own previous one.
- Winning
- At settlement, clubs are ranked by their highest bid (earliest bid breaks a tie). The highest bidder who still clears the bid floor wins. Anyone who would breach it has that bid voided and the player passes to the next-highest bidder.
- Contract length
- 2 seasons. When a contract expires the player returns to free agency.
Contracted players — release clauses
A release clause is a true clause: if a rival pays it, the sale happens. The owning club cannot refuse, and there is no negotiation — the player moves and the coins move immediately.
- Maximum clause
- 2B
- No clause set
- Leaving a player with no clause is reportable by other owners. A valid report fines your club 50M immediately. Setting a clause voids any pending report against that player with no fine.
- Report cooldown
- At most one fine per player per 5 hours, no matter how many different clubs report them.
- Protected players
- Your club leader cannot have a release clause and cannot be bought.
08Match submission & verification
Every match is submitted by both clubs, independently. You send your own view of the result, your two players and their ratings, plus a result screenshot and a stats screenshot (max 5MB each). An admin then approves in two separate streams: the score, which finishes the match and updates the table, and the stats, which records player ratings and settles any loan fees.
- AI played
- If a player didn't play and AI took over, you declare it — and your club is fined 50M per AI slot when the stats are approved. Both slots AI means the fine is charged twice. The player is still recorded for the match with a rating of 0, so it counts as an appearance and drags their average down.
- Loan fees
- A loaned-in player's fee is charged when the admin approves your stats — not when you submit. If the submission is rejected, nothing is charged.
- Opponent declaration
- You also declare whether your opponent fielded their own players. This is for the admin's cross-check only: it never charges you or anyone else, and creates no loan record.
- Disagreements
- If the two clubs submit different scores, the admin sees the conflict and decides. A rejected submission can be corrected and re-submitted.
09Club leader & club identity
The club leader
Each club may name one squad player as its leader — the player the club is built around. Leaders are protected:
- Cannot be bought or released
- A leader can't be given a release clause, can't be bought through one, and can't be released by their club.
- Not reportable
- The missing-release-clause report doesn't apply to a leader — having no clause is the point.
- Change cooldown
- Once appointed, you can change your leader only once every 2 seasons. The first appointment is free.
- Stripped leadership
- A player who loses leadership is NOT released immediately — they stay for the rest of the season, then become a free agent when it ends.
- Bankruptcy overrides everything
- If the club goes bankrupt, the leader is released with everyone else.
Club name, crest and motto
- Name change
- 1B, paid by the club. The old name is kept in the club's history so past results stay traceable.
- Crest
- Set by an admin only — owners cannot change their own crest.
- Motto
- Free to set and change, up to 120 characters.
Every figure on this page is read live from the league's settings. If an admin changes a value, it changes here immediately.
